Why Blog?
I have been wondering why people write a blog, rather my question is why people write a public blog?
I had read somewhere that a blog is like a diary where people write their thoughts.
After pondering on this for while, I am still not very sure. Why do I need to share my personal diary with the whole web surfing junta of the world?????
However, today I realized that when you don’t know how to get your views to a larger audience, you can use a blog. However the chances are minimal depending on how much time they have. If the closest ones to you hadenough time maybe you wouldn’t feel like writing to the whole world.
But still why blog? can anyone tell?

to broadcast to interested readers on hows life
There are a number of reasons to blog, but before that, blog isn’t anymore a public diary, it has become a means of free publication to a lot of wannabe writers/painters/singers. Blog isn’t anymore limited to writing, flickr and youtube also come under the category of blogs if used correctly.
Some people use it as a business platform. If you are a popular blogger (you can be if you start writing on “how to keep your skin glowing”
) then you would get a lot of hits on your site thereby attracting advertisers to your blog.
Now coming back to the public diary thing, thats a personal choice. Diary is supposed to be the most private thing containing ur darkest secrets. But if as an anonymous blogger u can share ur darkest secrets with the world u are saving urself a trip to church’s confession box
. So blog on and random surfers like me would have something to read and write about
