		<description>There are a number of reasons to blog, but before that, blog isn&#039;t anymore a public diary, it has become a means of free publication to a lot of wannabe writers/painters/singers. Blog isn&#039;t anymore limited to writing, flickr and youtube also come under the category of blogs if used correctly.

Some people use it as a business platform. If you are a popular blogger (you can be if you start writing on &quot;how to keep your skin glowing&quot; :) ) then you would get a lot of hits on your site thereby attracting advertisers to your blog.

Now coming back to the public diary thing, thats a personal choice. Diary is supposed to be the most private thing containing ur darkest secrets. But if as an anonymous blogger u can share ur darkest secrets with the world u are saving urself a trip to church&#039;s confession box :). So blog on and random surfers like me would have something to read and write about</description>
